According to Forbes Magazine, Will Smith pulled in a cool $80 mill this year! Can you imagine making $80 million?!? I never thought I’d hear myself say this but I think that’s more money than I could spend.

Not doing too bad himself, Johnny Depp pulled in $72mil.

What would I do with that much money? I’d buy a house on a lake or on a beach. My dream house will look just like HGTV’s 2005 Dream House. I LOVE that house. I’d get a recording studio built into the house and a dojo for Andy. I’d have a library and….we’d take really cool vacations. And maybe I’d get a penthouse in Baltimore. Other than charities and investments for my descendants, I can’t think of anything else.

What would you do with $80 Million?

I would build a dreamhouse too and it would be a log house with an indoor swimming pool and fountains, lots of stonework, a theater and a huge library. Like you, I would love to travel, worldwide, Egypt, London, Paris, Tokyo, you name it. I would also give my parents lots of money to pay them back for what they’ve done for me. It probably wouldn’t really be that hard to spend $80 mil, if you thought about it very much. LOL

I’d buy a new house, too. A small one that wouldn’t neet much cleaning–oh, and lots of storage (I’m a packrat!) Then, I’d have a housekeeper that came in only on days and also a cook that made supper (I can handle breakfast and lunch!) The house would be set in the middle of maybee, 50 acres of rolling countryside. I’d have a barn and paddocks for my horse(s) Oh, and a kennel for a couple of dogs (more than the one I now own!)
I’d do some traveling. Never did much. Oh, and lots more I can’t think of right now. But I would spread it around…not be greedy.
And hope I live long enough to spend just that one year’s worth of 80 million! It’s difficult to spend that much, Right?

Okay, looking at what you ladies said I think I could come up with a few more things. Maybe a car. Nothing too expensive. Maybe a Honda sports car or something like that.

Why didn’t I think of a cleaning lady and a cook?!? I enjoy cooking, but not every night.

I know I can come up with more… lol

Let’s see… First, I’d invest to ensure whatever stupid thing I might end up doing, I’d have plenty to live off of and to pass on. I’d make sure my extended family was taken care of. Maid, gardener and cook is a must. Whatever I did, I know I’d either be learning or working. I’d go crazy with nothing to do everyday–after I travel the world of course.

I can’t imagine making that much in one year. And just think, next year, they’ll probably do it all over again.

    Great blog!

I would be very very very happy with that money! What would I do? The skies the limit… :)

Michelle - Stupid fancies are ALWAYS good. The maid thing seems popular! lol! A pool man too.

    Too true, Jax!!!

$80 million, huh? Okay, so I’ll start with building my house from the ground up–nothing hugh–dream kitchen, backyard for parties, and LOTS of closet space!! Next would be the “necessary” car & the “fun” car. Of course I’ll take care of SOME family members and make a few investment choices. Since I wouldn’t have to work as much as I do now, I’d take classes in whatever my heart desires, dancing and cooking lessons, and who knows–maybe even write a romance novel or two!

I am happy in the house I am in (even though it is a rental) so I wouldn’t bother to build/buy a house. As I can’t drive I wouldn’t buy a car either. So that leaves paying off all my debts and giving all five children a share to set them up for life. Then I would get a chartered airplane and fly my disabled husband to USA and the biggest bead store around to buy all the jewellery making stuff he desired. After that I would find the largest book store around and buy all the books on my wishlist with a down payment for future books that I might want. The rest I would put into savings so that I would never need do without.

Can you tell I have thought about this before? LOL

  9. Heather Says:

Renee - Lots of closet space!!! I woman after my own heart. lol! Classes, that’s a good idea. I’ve always wanted to get my degree in history.

IIona - It’s cool to see someone so in love with her husband. Good for you for having such a good and loving marriage.

What would I do with $80 million. Pay off debts and bills, have my dream house built with a pool, a kitchen my hubby could die for, and aa theater, buy a car for my hubby, myself, my eldest daughter, pay for my hubby, myself and eldest daughter’s college, new computers for all the family, new clothes for all, vacations, invest, children a share, have some saved for other two children’s cars and college. Go visit all the lighthouses in the USA and maybe other countries. Must go to Ireland.
